Jo and Jarrod chose the essentials collection for their intimate crystal creek rainforest retreat elopement. Their colour pallet was based on an earth tones with deep purples and red in the mix. Jo decided on soft beachy waves with half up braid for her hair and also wore a wedding hat with flowers. For her makeup Jo had a soft coper bronze natural overall look with defined brows. Her bouquet filled with Australian native base with hues of deep purples and deep reds, she chose to have deep red foliage and minimal greenery. We had so much fun walking through the rainforest as the heavens opened up and blessed us. I love photographing in the rain, some of my most favourite images I have ever taken was when it rained. Just as the ceremony started, we heard the roar of the rain as it came through the trees. I asked the Jo and Jarrod if they would like to continue and they said yes. We were fairly protected by the tree canopy but we all still got a little wet. Such a magical moment. The rain eased up after we got back to the lodge and continued the photos on the lawn of Springbrook lodge. I’m so glad Jo and Jarrod were keen to play in the rain.
“Katrina was absolutely incredible and we were so happy she organised and shot our elopement. If you are looking for an elopement photographer, look no further! Not only was the process of deciding what we wanted on the day super easy with her online portal and calls, she made the whole day an absolute breeze. She captures the most incredible photos with her keen eye for details. The moment I saw Katrina’s work I knew I wanted her to capture our special day. She’s a beautiful and warm person and she made us feel completely at ease on the day. Thank you so much Kat! Jo and Jarrod”
